Our Mission
To democratise good art. We want to make it easy to hang high-quality art within any household.
Why Do We Exist?
AFTERIMAGE was born from frustration. Our founder struggled to find "cool prints". Everything took too long from other countries, was too expensive or, just didn't speak to him. He believed that South African walls deserve better, more accessible work
Some things are worth keeping. This is one.
HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?
The Prints
What paper do you print on?
We use Hahnemühle Studio Enhanced. This is a 210gsm archival matte paper made in Germany. It's acid-free, takes ink beautifully, and has a surface that makes the art look exactly as it should.
Are the prints signed?
Not the print itself. We ship each limited edition print with an insert card that carries the title, edition number, and a signed notation.
What does limited edition mean?
We have a fixed run for our designs. That's currently 25 per design. Once those 25are sold, that design won't be reprinted. Ever.
Will this edition ever be reprinted?
No. When an edition closes, it's closed.
SIZING & FRAMING
What sizes are available?
- A4 (210 × 297mm),
- A3 (297 × 420mm),
- A2 (420 × 594mm).
All prints are trimmed flush to the image
What frame sizes do these work with?
Any standard frame that you'll find at a home/decor store.
Do you sell frames?
Not yet. We'd rather you find the right frame for your space than sell you one that doesn't fit.
Shipping & Delivery
How long does delivery take?
Prints are produced in 1–3 working days and couriered via The Courier Guy or Aramex.
Most orders arrive within 5-7 working days of placing your order.
How are prints packaged?
Rolled in bespoke tissue paper, sealed, and shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube.
Do you ship outside South Africa?
Not at launch. SA only for now.
What if my print arrives damaged?
Take a photo of the tube and the print before you do anything else, and email it to shopafterimage@gmail.com We'll sort it out. A damaged print is our problem, not yours.
